Brian Jones is one of Britain's most exciting 'New Pop' artists, describing himself as "Twisted through Pop, subverted by Punk and born in Liverpool". With works that include dollar bills stamped with Madonna's face and politically suggestive pieces such as 'Blairman Mao' and 'Chelvis', Brian Jones' "New Pop" art sabotages well known popular culture images and presents them anew with a tongue-in-cheek twist. The result is a body of work that reflects the wit of its creator whilst also dealing with current world issues such as war and politics, and his impasto painting technique makes for stunning presentation in his oil paintings.

Despite or because of its subversive nature, politicians, premiership football managers and pop stars are amongst the collectors of his work. Jones gained his degree in Fine Art from Liverpool Polytechnic, where he was tutored by Jeff Nuttall and Jamie Reid, creator of The Sex Pistols album cover art, going on to collaborate extensively with Reid on various projects, exhibitions and events. Jones has exhibited extensively nationally and internationally to great acclaim. He also has many works in public and private collections, including a piece in the House of Commons.
